Paralympian Sean Fraser inspires young Loanhead swimmer

A MIDLOTHIAN Paralympian is inspiring the next generation of local athletes.

Sean Fraser’s participation in the Paralympics in Beijing and London has made a big impression with youngsters across the county, particularly those keen on swimming.

One youngster who followed his progress avidly during the summer was Thomas Rietvelt, a member of Midlothian Swim Club.

But the 10-year-old got the shock of his life at the club’s presentation night when he was awarded the Sean Fraser Trophy for the most improved swimmer in backstroke for 2012.
