Penicuik remain top of BT East League 2 with a resounding 66-30 win at home over Liberton.
It was obvious from the start that Penicuik were not going to be caught out like the previous week where they went two tries down in quick succession, by starting brightly and scoring two quick tries themselves.
They playing some good rugby at this point, which Liberton seemed to be struggling to cope with.
However, slack handling by the home side let Liberton in for a good try and this lifted their team’s spirit and the match become more lively with decent passages of play from both sides.
The half time talk from the Penicuk coach obviously had the desired effect as Penicuik pulled away scoring some well-worked tries.
To their credit, Liberton never stopped trying, scoring a few good tries of their own.
