Bonnyrigg snooker star Michael Leslie lost 4-0 to Steve Davis in his televised match at the Betfair European Tour Bulgarian Open in Sofia last Friday.
Leslie lost the opening frame as the six-times World Champion made a 44 break, but was on course to draw level as he opened up a 52-point lead in the second. However, Davis fought back with a run of 26 before an excellent 33 clearance gave him a 2-0 lead. Runs of 24 and 31 were enough for Davis to win the third frame before a 68 in the fourth gave him a 4-0 victory.
Leslie’s father Michael senior told the Advertiser: “It was only his second time on tv and I think he was a bit nervous. He’s disappointed that he didn’t settle but in a best of seven so you don’t get much time to do that. “
