Sixteen-year-old girl racer Emily Glanvil finished third in the Autograss Scottish Open 2015 in her Class 1 Totota Yaris.

The Scottish Open, which was held near Falkirk, was only Emily from Penicuik’s second race in the adults class, having moved up from the junior division the previous month.

Emily is not only the youngest driver but also the only female competitor in Scotland, put in a very competitive performance in the 7 heats to qualify for the final.

She then secured her podium finish by crossing the line third.

Emily is now a very respectable second overall in the Scottish Autograss Points Championship 2015, having only taken part in six out of the 12 meetings this season.

She looks forward to the remaining two meetings of the season where she will continue to work hard to maintain her 46 point advantage.
