The winner of the 45th running of the Carnethy Five Hills Race on Saturday was Andrew Douglas (28), pictured above crossing the finishing line in 49 minutes 23 seconds, competing in the race for the first time.

The Inverclyde athlete said he was “absolutely delighted” to have won. “It is a really big race, one of the biggest races in the Scottish calendar.”
