The U-13 trophy was won by 11-year-old Sean Rice with a great effort of 64, pipping Andrew Muir and Liam Sim, who made it an exciting competition to follow in the rain.

The other categories were won by Davie Pryde for the over 40s, and Peter Tiffney in the age 13-39 category with a best of 144, easily the highest tally of the afternoon.

The supporters’ club would like to thank all who braved the elements to cheer on the decorated taxi in the gala procession, which was accompanied by Kelly the Clown and Newtongrange Star players Gareth Hutchison and Joe Dunbar who paraded the East of Scotland Cup.

The results of the competitions were that there were 1582 jelly beans in the jar and Yogi the bear’s birthday was July 19.
