Peak practice for Midlothian skiers

A record number of skiers took advantage of fine weather for the recent Midlothian Snowsports Centre Twin Peaks race.

A total of 195 racers turned up for the day and crowds were kept entertained during the downhill race.

Councillor Bob Constable, Midlothian Council’s cabinet member for property and facilities, said: “This was a great day for everyone involved.

“It just goes to show that our ski centre is a great asset to the Lothians and beyond and a facility to enjoy all year round, not just when the snow is on the ground.”
