Bonnyrigg Rose FC is celebrating further success this week after being awarded its second Quality Mark by the Scottish Football Association (SFA).
The club has now achieved the ‘Development Award’ which is second highest award possible.
Club chairman Peter Innes is delighted that all the hard work put in by the committee and coaches has paid off.
He said: “This is a clear indication that we have the club moving in the right direction. We have more boys and girls playing football now at Bonnyrigg than ever before, currently more than 300 children, which is a great tribute to the work of the coaches.
“We have teams at all age groups and plan to start a Soccer School for the really young ones in the near future for children born 2006.”
Such is the demand at the club, coaches in charge of one of its age groups (for those born in 2002) are looking to start an additional team.
Peter added: “Our 2002 age group has been really popular and the coaches are looking for kids that have played a bit before, perhaps for their school or perhaps for whom a move to Bonnyrigg would suit.”
Anyone interested in a trial (for the 2002s only) should contact John Sime on 07824 888107.
