City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club, in partnership with Midlothian Council, hosted the Midlothian Schools Trampoline Competition at Lasswade High School recently.

The annual event attracted 73 entries from nurseries, schools and universities, in Midlothian, East Lothian, Edinburgh and the Borders.

Twenty three different nursery and primary schools were represented, with 14 secondary schools and universities.

Medals were awarded for first, second and third places in each group, with every competitor receiving a participation certificate.

The winning trophy was presented to Liberton High School, Edinburgh, with Earlston High School taking second place and Edinburgh Napier University in third.

An additional prize was awarded to the ‘Best Boy’ and ‘Best Girl’ for highest form in the beginner to intermediate level. The prizes were won by Hannah Preston (Lasswade High School) and Connor Wight (Stoneyhill Primary).

The club thanked all the parents and helpers who came along to support the event, with special thanks to Councillor Joe Wallace, Midlothian Provost, who presented the medals, together with Jim Gilfillan, duty manager of Lasswade High, and Davie Stevenson, CETC vice-chairman.
