A BUSY week for Whitehill Welfare saw them record two victories and gather six Premier League points.

On Wednesday evening, Edinburgh City were the visitors to Ferguson Park and came away on the wrong end of a 5-0 hiding.

In a rain-drenched first half, Aaron Somerville scored to put Welfare 1-0 ahead. At half-time the rain stopped, but the floodgates opened, as Whitehill notched further goals from McIntosh, Bruce and another two from Somerville.

City finished with 10 men and Whitehill with nine, when Bruce and Herd were ordered off.

On Saturday, Whitehill travelled to Gretna and came away with a convincing 2-0 score. Aaron Somerville and Wayne McIntosh were the scorers.
