The programme for the second Midfest was launched at Dalkeith Country Park last week by the local band set to play in front of thousands.
Organised by Midlothian Council and local organisations the festival will run from September 6 to 14.
Kicking off the busy schedule, is rock festival Grown in Scotland at Dalkeith Country Estate, on Saturday September 6.
Indie band, The View are headlining along with other bands including, The Merrylees, Big Country, Bombskare and Eric Faulkner’s Bay City Rollers.
Up and coming Midlothian band, The Rebel Westerns are also making a star appearance after winning a battle of the bands competition to support The View.
Daniel Garvie, from the band said: “Being a part of Midfest is a great way to top off a successful year for us, and we cannot wait to play to our home crowd.”
During the rest of the week, there’s a host of comedy, arts and music going on at a range of venues across the county.
Highlights include; world famous opera singer Iain Paton at Rosslyn Chapel, a special three-course comedy supper club with local comedian, Eric Davidson at The Papermill and Midfilm at Temple Village Hall.
