Pathhead Players rehearsing their production of "The Ladykillers"

The Pathhead Players present their annual Spring production this week – an interpretation of a classic movie comedy.

The stage adaptation of the 1955 movie The Ladykillers is on at 7.30pm today (Wednesday), Thursday and Friday (April 16-18) in the community hall, 11 Main Street, Pathhead.

Graham Linehan (writer of Father Ted) produced the script for the stage play based on the film.

Pathhead Players’ treasurer Bob Miller said: “Usually you get a book or a play and somebody rehashes it into a film.

“But this guy has done it totally differently.”

Eexplaining why people should come along, Bob said: “It’s funny. The tickets aren’t expensive. In fact we haven’t increased ticket prices for five or six years.

“As treasurer that pains me, but it is a good thing. And the price includes a cup of tea and biscuits. That’s just the way it has always been.”

Tickets £6 (£4.50) are available from Pathhead Post Office, Wahlberg Bakers and on the door. Visit www.pathheadplayers.org.uk
