Here’s what Edinburgh Love Islander Jamie got up to last night - and why he might not be in the villa much longer

This is everything Edinburgh islander Jamie Clayton got up to in the villa last night (Mon 17 Feb).

First kiss

Jamie and Natalia were seen having a chat, after Siannise chatted to the girls about how happy she was that Luke T asked her to be his girlfriend.

Jamie said, “So just before I act upon how I feel, would you say that you’re past the stage with Luke (M) in terms of where you’re at with him?”

In response, Natalia said, “Yeah, I think so.”

“So you’d say that we’re probably at the first kiss stage then?” Asked Jamie.

Natalia laughed, saying, “What are you trying to imply?”

The two began laughing, with Jamie insisting he was “just asking” and Natalia said that he was making it “really awkward”. Jamie persisted though, insisting, “Well, you’ve not answered my question”.

After Natalia confirmed that she felt that she was at the same stage, Jamie asked, “Should we try it?”

After some more laughter, Natalia said, “Oh my god, you’re not being serious.”

There was a bit more awkwardness, with Jamie explaining that he didn’t want their first kiss to be part of a challenge on the show and would prefer to have it happen naturally.

He said, “Just in case there’s a challenge tomorrow, we should probably get it out the way.”

“You’re not very smooth, are you?” Natalia asked in return.

The awkwardness continued as Natalia said “let me think about it” and the two sat in silence for a few seconds before she said, “Yeah, sure.”

The two then shared a kiss, with Mike and Priscilla cheering in the background.

Jamie then later admitted in the Beach Hut that the kiss “wasn’t his best performance” and that he hoped that the next kiss would “be a lot better”.

Discussing with the girls

Natalia was then seen chatting to some of the other girls on the outdoors beds, saying that the kiss was “embarrassing”. She explained the situation and when she quoted Jamie saying, “Well, shall we do it?”, the other girls reacted badly.

“That’s weird,” said Demi. Natalia was then asked if the kiss was any good, despite the awkward lead up.

Natalia said, “Yeah it was good.” She was then asked if she wanted more from the kiss, or if she was feeling a bit put off by it.

“I wasn’t cringed out,” Natalia explained, “But not that I, like, wanna snog his face off in bed tonight. I would’ve liked it a little bit more smoother, but I’m all right. I don’t have the ick.”

Couple goals challenge

The islanders were gathered for a challenge called Couple Goals, with Mike saying, “Right guys, time to find out what we really think of each other.”

The challenge saw hosts Mike and Priscilla reading out a series of categories, and the islanders in their couples having to vote for another couple that they felt fitted the category best.

The first question asked the islanders to vote for which couple they thought was the laziest, with Luke T and Siannise, Paige and Finn gathering the votes.

After a few funny questions, the gloves came off when Mike asked, “Which couple is the most fake?”

Callum and Molly voted for Mike and Priscilla, the rest of the islanders voted for Jamie and Natalia. Luke M and Demi explained their vote as “just for the fact that they haven’t got to know each other well” and based off Luke M’s “previous experience with Natalia”.

Jamie and Natalia explained in the Beach Hut that their votes might have come from her situation with Luke M.

“I feel like Luke comes off as such an angel in this villa, and it makes it all ten times worse,” Natalia said.

Jamie chimed in, saying, “I don’t think there’s another reason other than that.”

Couples getting voted off

Towards the end of the episode, Luke T got a text saying. “Islanders, tonight each couple must vote for the two couples who they think are the least compatible.

“Those you receive the most votes risk being dumped from the island. You must now discuss in your couples who you are going to choose. #GoWithYourGut.”

After the couples finished their discussions, Luke M got a text saying that all the islanders needed to gather at the firepit. From there, Jess received a text explaining that the couples would need to announce their decisions in front of the rest of the islanders.

Jamie and Natalia picked Luke M and Demi and Ched and Jess, whereas everyone else picked Jamie and Natalia as one of their two couples.

After all the couples had stated their votes, Siannise got a text saying that Demi and Luke M, Jess and Ched, Molly and Callum, Natalia and Jamie and Priscilla and Mike all received votes from their fellow islanders, and are therefore now vulnerable.

All of those couples now face surviving a public vote to see who stays and who goes.

Twitter reactions

It seemed that Love Island fans had pretty unanimous opinions about Jamie and Natalia.

One Twitter user wrote, “Y’all voting Natalia and Jamie off, yeah? #LoveIsland.”

“Jamie and Natalia are mad awkward #LoveIsland,” another wrote, adding a vomiting emoji.

Another tweeted, “Jamie’s seduction attempt last night was toe-curling to watch and should be taught everywhere as a lesson on how to instantly dry up a vagina #LoveIsland.”

Someone else wrote: “If anyone but Jamie and Natalia leaves the villa tomorrow, we riot. PERIOD. #LoveIsland.”
