Edinburgh welcomes new restaurant completing the Sartore family's 'Dalry Road hat-trick'

Successful opening night for Dalry restaurant Wine and Peach after lockdown delayed their progress.

The new restaurant opened its doors for the first time last night, completing the ‘Dalry Road hat-trick’ with sister restaurants Locanda De Gusti and Pizzeria 1926. All run by the Sartore family, Wine and Peach is a venture by son, Santo, specialising in wine, cocktails and small plates.

Ciro Sartore said: “Everyone from the Locanda De Gusti and Pizzeria 1926 family are happy to introduce our latest endeavour at Wine and Peach and we hope to see some familiar faces, and soon-to-be regulars, within the coming months at our new bar.”

Their website is still a work-in-progress but a menu shared via their Instagram includes baby octopus stew, a fresh buffalo mozzarella, ham and watermelon salad, Mediterranean chicken meatballs and shallow fried white bait.

While their Instagram bio simply reads: “Coming soon” Wine and Peach has been posting throughout the last month with their first post on September 9 reading: “After what seems like forever, the wheels are finally turning again! Pizzeria 1926 and Locanda De Gusti are completing the Dalry Road hat-trick by bringing you cocktails, wines, beers and more food in our brand new bar venture.”

Wine and Peach is open this evening, Friday October 2 from five o’clock and from noon until 10pm tomorrow and Sunday October 4. They will be announcing new opening hours from next week.
