Tech firm Infinity Works doubling workforce with creation of 25 skilled jobs

Digital transformation consultancy Infinity Works set up a practice in Edinburgh in 2019, and said it has experienced “significant” growth, having delivered work for some of the nation’s most-recognised brands, including a number of major players in the financial services sector.

The business said that to support the next stage of its growth plans, it is creating at least 25 new permanent roles in Scotland this year — doubling its headcount – on the back of rising demand from organisations for digital consulting services.

The new recruits, including mobile engineers, service designers, analysts and delivery leads, will be phased in over the next 12 months and will focus on organisations in Scotland, but also lead the way on some UK-wide projects.

Director Pete Cotton said: “Scotland has a burgeoning digital sector and we’re committed to helping it grow... We’ve been impressed with the quality of technical talent in Edinburgh and are looking forward to expanding the services we can offer to our customers. Coronavirus has acted as a catalyst to accelerate digital transformation initiatives and business consulting will have a critical role to play in the UK’s economic recovery.”

Infinity Works has also joined not-for-profit organisation ScotlandIS and has become a member of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce. The firm, which also has a presence in Leeds, London and Manchester and has about 450 staff, plans to offer places in the spring to people in Edinburgh looking to start a career in tech via its in-house academy.
