Coronavirus: Full breakdown of the 143 new cases in NHS Lothian

An additional 143 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the NHS Lothian health board region in the last 24 hours, according to Scottish Government figures released this afternoon.

The new infections make up more than a fifth of the 764 reported across Scotland.

Over the last seven days, 813 Covid-19 cases have been identified in the City of Edinburgh local authority area along - bringing the total number to 5,264 since the start of the outbreak.

Of the 143 new cases, 94 are thought to be from the City of Edinburgh, 31 from West Lothian, 13 from Midlothian, and four from East Lothian.

There have been no new deaths in Edinburgh, Mithlothian or East Lothian in the last 24 hours, but two were recorded in West Lothian - half of Scotland’s daily total of four.
