Popular city centre bar CC Blooms has announced that they will be reopening their outside area on July 6.

“Happy pride everyone.

“We’ve missed you.”

The bar was among many in the city that felt the set back after Nicola Sturgeon announced a delay in the hospitality sector reopening when she announced phase two on June 18.

CC Blooms had already started taking bookings, anticipating earlier permission to open, and on hearing the delay, released a statement saying it was a “shocking blow” saying “We apologise to all our amazing customers who booked and advise to watch further announcements though we get very little notice from the government.

“Thanks for your patience at this time, but unfortunately we can only work to the timescales provided by the government.”

As well the hospitality sector, the announcement included non essential shops in shopping malls and organised sports to start up on July 13.
