Edinburgh weather: How the public enjoyed day one of lockdown easing in the sun

As the mini heatwave continues in Edinburgh, it's little wonder locals were out soaking up the glorious sunshine at beauty spots around the city on Friday – especially now lockdown measures have been eased.

And, despite First Minister Nicola Sturgeon saying she was “nervous” to announce the lifting of certain lockdown measures in case Covid-19 spikes again, the vast majority of locals seem to be following the new guidelines.

The good weather is expected to last the weekend, with the temperatures dropping on Sunday, and then again on Monday.
