Edinburgh weather: sunbathers gather on Portobello beach
With the city in the middle of a mini heatwave, it is no wonder that people are rejoicing that several of the lockdown measures have been eased.

Hide AdNicola Sturgeon announced yesterday that from today people are allowed to go outside to meet others from one other household, as long as they stay two metres apart, as well as sunbathe, play golf and go to garden centres.
Despite the First Minister saying that she was “nervous” to announce the lifting of certain lockdown measures, in case the virus spiked again, people on the beach can be seen following the new guidelines.
It comes as Ms Sturgeon announced today she had “never been prouder of this country” as most Scots followed lockdown rules.
Police have also been patrolling the hot spots and beauty areas of the city to ensure that people are staying two metres apart where appropriate.

Hide AdThe good weather is expected to last the weekend, with the temperatures dropping on Sunday, and then again on Monday.
