Latest coronavirus figures for the Lothians as Scotland reports zero deaths two days in a row

The latest figures on coronavirus cases in the Lothians have been released by the Scottish Government as Nicola Sturgeon announced the country has seen no new deaths for two days in a row.

As of 9am this morning, two more Covid-19 cases have been confirmed bringing the total in the Lothians to 2,774.

In the last 24 hours the number of hospital admission has fallen by one, with 145 patients in hospital.

Six coronavirus patients are being treated in intensive care which is one down from yesterday.

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Scotland remains at 2,415, the First Minister confirmed at her daily news briefing on Monday.

Ms Sturgeon said 15,639 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 – an increase of 18 from yesterday.

1,042 patients are in hospital across Scotland with a suspected or confirmed case, with 24 being treated in intensive care – down one from yesterday.

Ms Sturgeon said this is "very encouraging", but warned that it is "highly likely" more deaths will be recorded in the days ahead.
