Nicola Sturgeon briefing LIVE: Police will have the power from Friday to break up house parties of more than 15 people

The First Minister announced on Wednesday that two more people had died after testing positive for coronavirus.

These are the first deaths recorded since July 16, and Ms Sturgeon called them a ‘devastating loss’.

There were also 67 more positive cases across the country reported yesterday.

Several high schools and primary schools have now confirmed that pupils have tested positive for the virus.
