Marie Curie are calling on candidates from all parties in Scotland to sign their manifesto pledge.

The three main asks of the manifesto are that the Scottish Government appoints a new National Clinical Lead for Palliative and End of Life Care for Scotland; introduces a national strategy for palliative and end of life care; and ensures all carers get the support they need.

Mr Balfour (Con) said: “I fully support Marie Curie in their plea for a national strategy to be put in place. I will continue to fight for better support for carers and put pressure on the Scottish Government to place palliative care at the top of their agenda.”
