The redevelopment, proposed by Silvermills Estates and Land Limited at number 12 and 14 Picardy Place, will see elements of the Georgian era buildings partly demolished and rebuilt as a 67-room hotel.
The most significant changes proposed include the erection of a mezzanine platform and courtyard roof.

Both townhouses underwent extensive renovations in the 1970s with few original features remaining in either property.
Silvermills Estates and Land Limited have confirmed that the rebuild will restore both buildings to their original condition.
The spokesperson from the company said: “Interiors and exteriors of the townhouse buildings fronting onto Picardy Place will be fully restored to their original condition as part of the works.

Number 12 Picardy Place has previously been used as a 10-bed hotel and is currently vacant. Number 14 Picardy Place is currently occupied by Fore Play Crazy Golf on a short-term basis.
Silvermills Estates and Land Limited say the hotel proposal for the wider site is the only option that allows for the full extent of repair/upgrades that are required.
