The retired lock importer and manufacturer and his wife started their now yearly light display in the 90s as a special treat for their daughter.

This year the couple have enjoyed watching local families enjoy posing for pictures in front of the elaborate lights display while they are shielding at home.

Mr D’Amico said: “The display cheers us and our neighbours up, and the children love it, when they came around for Halloween they were already asking when the lights would be going up.”

This year Mrs D’Amico has hand created an NHS themed display featuring bright blue rope lights, ‘Support our NHS’ posters and a collection bucket.

The couple are also asking people to donate to the NHS in return for experiencing the cheery lights and have launched a Go Fund Me page aiming to raise £500.

Mr D’Amico said: “This is the first year we have done a collection and it is because it is such a worthy cause. It’s a hard job that people working in the NHS have, especially over winter, I don't think I could do it. The doctors, nurses, paramedics and hospital staff are very brave people and we want to say thank you to them.”
