Hot deals: Ellersly House Hotel | Pure Spa @ Ocean Terminal
Head chef James McQuade has dished up delicacies for many famous faces, from the Queen to Billy Connolly, so the treat will be in the taste, as well as the value.
Prices start from £7.45 for lunch and £14.45 per adult for a two-course meal. Starters include smoked salmon with prawn marie rose and buttered brown bread as well as a spinach and ricotta tortelloni with tomato dressing and freshly shaved parmesan. For main, there’s fresh breaded or battered haddock with chips, peas and tartar sauce and duck breast with puy lentils and fondant potato. For desserts, diners can choose from the tantalising Eton mess or the Scottish cheese board with oatcakes and beetroot chutney.

And for the finale, of course, there’s ice cream. And when they’re full there’s a children’s play area.
Pure Spa
THOSE wanting a summer look, despite the washout, are invited to Pure Spa at Ocean Terminal today, where free tans will be offered on a first come first served basis.
With the chances of achieving a natural tan in Scotland being close to zero — a bit like the temperature — Pure Spa is anticipating a queue of pale skinned shoppers looking for the boost that a healthy glow can bring.
Doors opened at 10am this morning, with closing time at 5pm.
