DALKEITH: Plans put before the Town Council a year ago for improving toilet facilities at King’s Park are still under consideration. At the last meeting of the parks and cemeteries committee Baillie Walter Dickson referred to the need for an extension to the bowling pavilion and suggested incorporating the two plans.


ESKBANK: Lothian Regional Council has become the first Scottish local authority to venture into the field of commercial office development, with the opening this week of the Hardengreen Business Centre at Eskbank. Eleven of the 14 offices in the £300,000 development were let within weeks.


DALKEITH: Moves are at last being made to improve Dalkeith town centre’s troubled CCTV system, local community councillors have been told.
