PENICUIK: George Wimpey and Co are going ahead with housing development at Cornbank, Penicuik. At a sitting of Penicuik Dean of Guild Court permission was granted to them for the erection of 150 houses in phase five of this development. The estimated cost is £590,000.
MAYFIELD: McSence, the community business started three years ago, has won a contract for £340,000 to fit homes in Mid and East Lothian with draught-proofing.
DALKEITH: Letts Filofax, the leading international diary and personal organiser business based in Dalkeith, has been sold for £45 million to London-based venture capitalists Phoenix Equity Partners in partnership with Lett’s own management team.
