ROSLIN: The new extensions at the British Legion premises in Roslin were welcomed as “a real addition to the village” when the official opening was made last Saturday evening.
DALKEITH: A planning application for a proposed travellers’ site at Dalkeith Colliery could be decided by way of written statements rather than a joint public local inquiry. There are still a number of outstanding objectors including the Scottish Power, the National Farmers’ Union and Whitecraig and District Residents Committee.
DALKEITH: A new £2.4 million medical centre is to be built in Dalkeith. The new medical centre, announced by Health Minister Andy Kerr this week, is one of 21 projects planned for 10 health board areas, and will offer a greater range of services than is currently available in the town.
