PENICUIK: Penicuik’s Dean of Guild Court have granted a major warrant to the building firm of George Wimpey Co Ltd for the final phase of their housing development at Cornbank Estate, Penicuik. The warrant granted was for the erection of 278 houses and the estimated cost is £1.01 million.


MIDLOTHIAN: Midlothian District Council has called a ceasefire on unauthorised war games taking place on the grounds of Melville Castle, with Bedlam War Games told to leave the site.


COUSLAND: Twenty years of hard work will come to fruition for the Cousland Smiddy Trust when they celebrate the official opening of the restored 18th century smith’s cottage at Cousland this weekend.
