BONNYRIGG: Rank Social Club, Leith, held their annual children’s outing to Bonnyrigg when 180 children and adults enjoyed games and races in King George V Park. One lady got stuck on the chute and volunteers pushed and pulled until she was ultimately freed to the cheers of the onlookers.
PENICUIK: The future of Penicuik Athletic Junior Football Club is hanging in the balance. Club officials have called for a meeting with Midlothian district councillors in a “last-ditch” effort” to secure new facilities for next season. The club’s lease for its Eastfield Park ground expires in June and Wm Low has already lodged a planning application to build a supermarket on the site.
