Peter Eccles of Saughland Farm, Pathhead, was named Farm Manager of the Year and Overall Farmer of the Year 2020 at the awards ceremony, held remotely online due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The awards organisers described Peter as a “true all-rounder and an innovator”, who “pushes beyond the boundaries of common practice, readily adopting new technology and operating multiple collaborations”.

The weekly publication for farmers added that Peter “cares deeply about the development and motivation of his team”.
