£60,000 works for Bonnyrigg town centre

Work on the final phase of a £1.4 million revamp of Bonnyrigg town centre is set to begin in the summer.

Midlothian Council said the work – worth more than £60,000 – will improve the appearance of shop canopies and fronts of buildings from 29 Polton Street to 6 High Street.

The funding – the final part of a regeneration programme which began in 2005 – was approved at a meeting of the council’s cabinet.
