A nose for the outdoors

LITTLE Corrin Gilfeather smells a ladybird poppy at the Gardening Scotland event as it got under way at the Royal Highland Showground in Ingliston.

The four-year-old was amongst the huge crowds which flocked to see the plants and flowers on show yesterday. Students from the Lothians worked on two show gardens built by the Scottish Agricultural College, which won medals on the opening day.
