Another charity shop for Dalkeith

The former offices of the Advertiser in Dalkeith are set for a new lease of life as a Salvation Army charity shop.

Opening on Thursday, September 6 at 12 High Street, the shop will sell quality donated goods including clothes, accessories, bric-a-brac and household goods, with all profits gift-aided to the Salvation Army to help fund its work throughout the UK.

Preparations are underway in terms of fitting out the shop, but there is always room for more helpers and the team is holding a volunteering open day on Wednesday, September 5, between 11am and 3pm, so that those interested in becoming a volunteer can learn more about what’s involved.
