Army on the frontline of recruitment drive

Army soldiers will be hitting the streets of Edinburgh and the Lothians this week as part of a recruitment drive.

The campaign runs until Saturday and will see soldiers stationed at various locations in Edinburgh city centre, Musselburgh, Penicuik and Dalkeith – giving people the chance to have an informal chat about life in the Army and the opportunities available. Major Tim Smalley, area recruitment officer for the east of Scotland, said: “The Army is actively recruiting for both regular and territorial soldiers and will always be looking to employ the right people who meet or exceed our high entry standards.”

Physically fit men and women aged between 16 and 43 can apply to join the Army. For further information visit www.army.mod.uk/join
