Arrest over theft of art
A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of five paintings worth £8000 from a city gallery.
The 24-year-old man was set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday following the alleged high-value theft at the Demarco Gallery in Craigcrook Road, Blackhall.
The theft at the gallery took place on Monday, July 4.
Police are still trying to trace the missing artworks.
