Art students to join ‘hub’

A MULTI-MILLION-POUND project encouraging artists to use their ideas to boost the UK economy has been launched.

Edinburgh College of Art is among a consortium of Scottish art colleges being led by the University of Dundee, which is one of four in the UK heading new ‘Knowledge Exchange Hubs for the Creative Economy’ over the next four years.

The hubs will be tasked with building partnerships and entrepreneurial capacity in the creative economy.

The plan is supported by a £16 million investment by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
