Artful lodgers transform city centre office

Art students have swapped water coolers for watercolours after transforming one of Edinburgh’s prime offices into a gallery.

Real estate investor and asset manager Mapeley invited third-year students from Edinburgh College of Art to create a free exhibition of their work at one of the firm’s landmark properties, Clarendon House. The best exhibit will win the first Clarendon House award – a £1000 prize. All three floors in the premises at 116 George Street will be filled with work from students in intermedia art, painting, photography, sculpture and MA (Hons) fine art. The exhibition opens today.
