Artist’s works to raise Oxfam cash

An art exhibition and sale featuring work by the late Myer Lacome will open in Edinburgh after pieces from his collection were generously donated by his family to an Oxfam shop.

Mr Lacome, an artist and former college principal who lived in Edinburgh from 1988, is perhaps best known for his works depicting the Holocaust.

His work can now be found worldwide, including in the National Museum of Scotland.

When he died in 2011 the family decided to donate a selection of their father’s work to Oxfam. All proceeds from the sale will go to Oxfam.

The exhibition will be held in the The Old Ambulance Depot in Brunswick Street. with viewings between 12pm and 4pm today and tomorrow.
