A barbershop quintet has been chosen to kickstart the 2012 Dalkeith Performing Arts Festival, which begins next week.
The festival, now in its second year, will remain within the walls of Dalkeith Country Park but moves to the surroundings of St Mary’s Church.
Attractions at this year’s festival, which runs from June 13-27, include: barber shop quintet Moonglow (June 13); classical guitarist Brian McGrail (June 20); and the Newbattle Abbey College Rough and Ready Choir (June 27). Each performance will commence at 7.15pm.
Admission is free for everyone on a first come, first served basis. Car parking is available in the church car park, and light refreshments will be available during performance intervals. Donations towards the costs and future of the festival are welcome.
