Lothian Buses suspended one of its Dalkeith services last week after vehicles were damaged by rock-wielding youths.
Police are investigating after stones were thrown at two buses travelling through Woodburn on Tuesday, March 17.
The incidents occurred at around 4pm and 6pm on Wilson Avenue, when the windows of the No 39 were smashed as a result of stones being thrown.
The decision to suspend the service - for one hour - was taken by Lothian Regional Transport in the interest of public safety.
A spokesman for Lothian Buses said: “Following vandalism and anti social behaviour in the area we had to divert buses on Tuesday evening. This mean that services in the Woodburn area were affected for about an hour.
“We are working with the police to overcome the problems we are currently experiencing in the area.”
