Voting has begun to choose the projects which will receive funding as part of the RBS CommunityForce programme.
The bank is now asking Midlothian residents to help decide how the funds will be shared by local good causes.
Members of the public can vote for their favourite charity by visiting www.rbs.co.uk/communityforce where all the local applications can be viewed.
Voting will take place until Monday, October 24.
CommunityForce was launched in July to support charities and good causes in communities served by RBS branches. In each of the 158 CommunityForce areas in the UK, the bank is offering three local projects the chance to win £6000 each.
Following the launch, more than 1000 applications were received in Scotland.
