A FRESH bid is to be made for conservation funding to help regenerate Gorebridge.
Midlothian Council will approach Historic Scotland to assist local initiatives through the Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS).
The five-year grant programme helps to meet the costs of improving the condition of historic buildings within conservation areas.
Owners of eligible buildings within the CARS area can apply for funds towards the cost of repairing their historic building, although owners are also expected to make a contribution towards the cost.
