A Penicuik employee has taken part in his firm’s mammoth charity cycle event, raising vital funds for charity.
Billy McGann from the Screwfix store participated in ‘Tour de Screwfix’ at the weekend, a 5,500 mile national cycle relay, to raise money for the Screwfix Foundation.
This charity supports projects to fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and facilities for those in need in the UK.
To mark the opening of its 400th store, 800 Screwfix staff at each of its stores are riding a leg over an eight week period to raise £100,000.
Billy covered the Penicuik to Hawick leg of the challenge, covering 46.6 miles.
