The Loanhead and District Cage Bird Society held its annual bird show on Saturday, with the colourful animals brightening up Loanhead Miners Welfare.
The event, which had been under threat just five years ago, was a roaring success on Saturday. With prizes given out to the best birds on the day.
Show manager George Inch said: “It was a great day. With no problems whatsoever. Everybody seemed to enjoy it. We were mobbed actually. I didn’t expect as many people to turn up as they did.
“There was people that came from all over. Aberdeen, Cumbria, the west of Scotland.
“We had around 300 birds on display, which is about the average each year. With prize money and rosettes given out.”
