Blogmanay hopes to net fans worldwide

Organisers of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay have invited influential travel bloggers from countries around the globe to join their Scottish and UK counterparts and experience events in the city between December 30 and January 1.

A total of 21 bloggers from as far afield as Australia, the US and Malaysia will use social media to report on their activities and interact with anyone using the “#blogmanay” hashtag anywhere in the world.

Pete Irvine, artistic director of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, said: “We are delighted to be able to showcase Edinburgh to this group and their worldwide audience.

“We know that they will have a fantastic time here in the home of Hogmanay and return home with wonderful memories of Scotland.”
