A plaque celebrating Dolly the sheep, and the team who created her, was unveiled by the Society of Biology at the Roslin Institute last week.
World famous Dolly was the first mammal to be cloned from an adult cell.
The Dolly project took place at the Roslin Institute in 1997 when the research facility was based in the village of Roslin. It has since moved to Edinburgh University’s Easter Bush campus.
The Society of Biology installed the plaque, one of a new series of ten plaques around the UK celebrating eminent but sometimes unsung heroes of biology.
