The body of elderly man was recovered from a static caravan following a fire last week.
The alarm was raised at 5am on Friday, November 21 to a mobile home alight at Nivensknowe Caravan Park, Loanhead.
Crews from Liberton, Dalkeith and Newcraighall attended to the property at Hedge Row. They used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel to tackle the blaze. It was under control by 5.50am.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We can confirm the body of a man was found in a caravan which was damaged by fire in Loanhead in the early hours of November 21.
“Enquiries are at an early stage and more information will be released when available.”
It is understood police are trying to trace next of kin.
