A BONNYRIGG man has had £4444 taken from him under proceeds of crime laws at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Confiscation Order was obtained for Bernard Flanagan (25), who is serving eight years in prison after previously been found guilty of being concerned in the supply of cocaine between May 2007 and October 2008.
After the ruling, Lindsey Miller, head of the Serious and Organised Crime Division and the current Proceeds of Crime Act champion, said: “Bernard Flanagan was involved in a serious and organised crime group dealing Class A drugs in Edinburgh. He had a ‘hands-off’ middle-management role in the operation, which saw up to a million pounds of cocaine seized within a year.”
