Book swap invite to Midlothian schools

The deadline is fast approaching for primary school pupils in Midlothian to swap books and raise money for charity as part of ScottishPower’s Swap Shop 2012.

Schools have until Wednesday, May 23, to register to take part in the initiative which is designed to encourage reading while raising money for Aberlour, a children’s charity that provides help to over 6,000 of Scotland’s most vulnerable children, young people and their families each year.

Now in its fourth year, Swap Shop has already seen over 5,500 book swaps and thousands of pounds donated to local charities.
